I create contemporary oil and mixed media paintings that transform everyday spaces into places of beauty, emotional restoration, and quiet presence. Inspired by femininity, gardens, and the restorative rhythms of nature, my work invites viewers to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the softer parts of themselves.
My art is a sanctuary; a place where peace, rest, and beauty quietly unfold. I am drawn to tender, quiet moments filled with light and softness, and these are the feelings I seek to hold gently within each painting.
I am a Canadian-Egyptian fine artist based in Ottawa. My paintings celebrate stillness, emotional refuge, and the quiet strength found in moments of rest. Through luminous feminine figures, flourishing gardens, birds, butterflies, and dreamlike symbolism, I create immersive worlds where beauty becomes a gentle invitation to pause. Rather than telling specific stories, each painting is created to evoke a feeling, one of soft living, warmth, serenity, hope, and quiet joy.
Art has been a constant thread throughout my life. After years of studying both classical and contemporary painting, I found my own visual language through an intuitive process that balances structure with spontaneity. I work slowly, allowing each painting to unfold through layers of oil, mixed media, charcoal, and pastel until it begins to carry its own quiet emotional atmosphere.
Nature is woven into every stage of my process. I often create my own collage papers using imprints of leaves and petals gathered from my garden, preserving their delicate textures beneath luminous layers of paint. These hidden botanical impressions become part of each painting's story, connecting the finished work to the rhythms of the natural world that inspire it.
From my home studio, surrounded by blooming gardens, I paint with one intention: to create artwork that offers a place to rest. In a world that often feels hurried and overwhelming, I believe beauty is not a luxury but something deeply restorative. My hope is that each painting brings a lasting sense of warmth, tranquility, and emotional presence into the spaces where it lives.
